(Fargo, ND) -- The U.S. Postal Service is expanding their audit to Fargo, Grand Forks, and Dickinson locations as several challenges were brought to the attention of lawmakers.

North Dakota's Congressional delegation confirmed the postal service will expand the audit from other faculties after mail delay complaints and other challenges were alleged by customers. There are currently ongoing audits in Bismarck, Mandan, and Minot post offices at this time.

“This expansion of USPS’ audit is welcome news, considering the wide range of challenges facing mail delivery in North Dakota,” said the delegation of Senators John Hoeven, Kevin Cramer, and Representative Kelly Armstrong. “Our state’s residents rely on timely delivery of mail, medication and newspapers, and it is imperative that USPS identify the causes of these issues and resolve them as soon as possible. We look forward to the results of this audit and will continue working to secure improvements to mail service across North Dakota.”

A final audit of the Minnesota - North Dakota District is expected to be available in late March.
