(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Cross Country World Cup is set for this weekend at Theodore Wirth Park.
This is the first time the event will be held in Minneapolis.
Organizers are concerned about the warm winter weather, but the competition will go on.
The skiing event will kickoff of on Saturday.
Afton native and Olympic champion Jessie Diggins will compete in the World Cup.
