Minnesota colleges seeking one billion dollars for building repairs

(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota state colleges and universities are looking for $1 billion dollars during the 2024 legislative session.

The funds would aim to largely repair existing buildings across the state; but also improve energy efficiency, make campuses safer, and bolster future enrollment and programs. Currently, $103 million is dedicated to colleges through Governor Tim Walz's 2024 infrastructure plan.
