(Fargo, ND) -- Gas prices in the Red River Valley are trending upwards over the weekend.
The data comes from AAA, who says the average price for a gallon of regular in the Red River Valley is $2.96. This varies by county in the valley, with the North Dakota side being $.02 cheaper on average compared to Minnesota pumps. The highest average price for a gallon of North Dakota gas is in Grant County at $3.52, compared to Steele County's $2.81. In Minnesota, the highest price per gallon is in south east Dodge county at $3.20. This is compared to south west Lyon county's $2.80 average.
For comparison, the national average is $3.26 per gallon.
