(Burnsville, MN) -- Police say the gun Shannon Gooden used to kill two police officers and a paramedic in Burnsville was "straw purchased."

Experts say a straw purchase is when someone buys a gun for some one who isn't allowed to purchase one. The owner of the Modern Sportsman Gun Shop in Burnsville confirmed the purchase occurred at his store. However, the owner says he had no way of knowing the gun would end up in the hands of a convicted felon.
