North Dakota ranchers having good calving season

(Bismarck, ND) -- Ranchers across North Dakota are having a good calving season thanks to this year's unusually mild winter.

They say their cows are enjoying the sunshine, can give birth outside, and are calving ahead of schedule.

In addition, the warmer weather means less straw is being used for bedding, which saves money.

Ranchers say it's a big improvement over last year's harsh winter.
