Bismarck police officer not charged for deadly shooting

(Bismarck, ND)  --  The State's Attorney and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation have determined that a Bismarck Police officer will not be charged for a deadly shooting of a teenager.

The decision released today cites the circumstances in November of last year that led to the shooting of 17-year-old Nicholas Bruington.

Bruington was wanted for allegedly shooting two children.

He fled the scene of a traffic stop on foot while brandishing a gun and police shot him as he tried to escape.
