Trooper suffers minor injuries In wrong-way crash

(Bismarck, ND)  --  A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper and two other people were injured in a head-on crash in Bismarck.  

The trooper's SUV was hit by a wrong-way driver on Sunday morning on U.S. 83.  

The trooper is said to have suffered minor injuries but the driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were taken to the hospital.  

There were no fatalities in this crash but North Dakota does rank sixth in the country for the number of deadly wrong-way crashes.  

Last year out of 690 deadly crashes 23 were caused by wrong-way drivers.
