East Grand Forks Police rescue man who fell from Sorlie Bridge onto Red River ice

(East Grand Forks, ND) -- East Grand Forks Police say the Sorlie Bridge is open again after a man fell onto the ice covered Red River Tuesday night.

Police say the man was spotted on the support beams underneath the bridge by a witness, who called authorities. A conversation began between law enforcement and the man, who fell from the beams onto the ice.

Firefighters pulled the man from the ice, who was later taken to Altru Hospital with unknown injuries.
