(Bismarck, ND) -- The Standing Rock Nation has just received money for a $12.5 million-dollar Intertribal electric vehicle charging network.

The grant comes from the Department of Energy in collaboration with The Native Sun Community Power Development and the American Lung Association. The money will be used to build up charger infrastructure in towns like McLaughlin and Mobridge.

SAGE Development Authority, Sitting Bull College, Standing Rock Public Transit, and some tribal casinos will track the use of their EVs, and collect data for the Upper Midwest Inter-tribal EV Charging Community Network.
