(St. Paul, MN) -- Republican Minnesota legislators are expected to consider a proposed bill that increases penalties for straw purchases of firearms.
State Senator Julia Coleman and other GOP'ers authored legislation last year to make straw purchasing a felony punishable by up to two years in prison.
The bill has stalled in the DFL-controlled Legislature and it will be heard today before the House Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee.
