(Steele, ND) -- An overpass was struck on I-94 after a semi collision on Friday.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash occurred three miles west of Steele on I-94 near mile marker 197 on Friday. A semi-truck carrying coil tubing reel cradle had material stacked 17 feet high and attempted to pass under an overpass that was 15ft 11in high. This led to the top of the coil tubing reel to strike the bottom of the overpass

The bridge was deemed structurally sound by authorities, despite the concrete debris falling onto the interstate from the overpass reported at the scene.

No injuries were reported, but the driver, Seth Ponder (29m, Colorado) was cited for no oversize permit.
