(Bismarck, ND) -- ND Sober Ride saw an over 21% increased use of their Lyft voucher program during the St. Patrick's Day weekend. The rides, sponsored by AAA, brought home 167 intoxicated people over the holiday weekend.

State safety official Lauren Wahlman says the program helps people both have a good time and a safe ride home.

“Choosing ND Sober Ride isn't just about getting from point A to B; It’s the choice that ensures not only your safety but the safety of others on the road. So, whenever codes are available and you’ve celebrated with alcohol, let ND Sober Ride be your designated driver,” said Safety Public Information Program Manager Lauren Wahlman.
