The City of Fargo did not pass a ceasefire resolution proposed by CODEPINK and Palestine supporters during Monday's city commission meeting.

The vote was 2-2, with Commissioners John Strand and Arlette Preston voting yes. Commissioner Denise Kolpack and Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney voted against it. CODEPINK says this will "not end their advocacy for peace", and say some on the commission may still "lack the political courage this moment demands" for a ceasefire.

The resolution calls for a ceremonial ceasefire, urging Israel to end claimed genocidal actions against Palestinians.
