Report: New candidate to join ND GOP House Race on last official filing day

(Bismarck, ND) -- A former North Dakota Independent is intending to join the Republican U.S. House race.

Cara Mund ran as an independent in 2022 against Representative Kelly Armstrong, and now she is joining the 2024 election according to Inforum. Mund is joining a contested race, facing off against three GOP opponents, Alex Balazs, Julie Fedorchak, Dr. Rick Becker, and Democratic NPL candidate Trygve Hammer.

The deadline to apply for ballot access is today, April 8th.   WDAY Radio is attempting to independently verify this story.
