Grand Forks man seriously injured after semi-truck crash

(Petersburg, ND) -- One person is hospitalized after a single vehicle crash in Grand Forks County.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash occurred east of Petersburg before midnight Thursday. A semi was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 2 when it left the road near a curve, tipping into the median. Cargo from the trailer entered the semi-truck's cab, causing serious injuries to the driver, a 47-year-old Grand Forks man. The driver was hospitalized.

The crash remains under investigation. Charges are not being considered at this time.
