ND Congressional candidate pauses campaign events due to family medical emergency

(WDAY Radio) -- A candidate for the lone U.S. House seat in North Dakota is temporarily pausing campaign events due to a family medical emergency.

WDAY Radio has learned Dr. Rick Becker has temporarily paused campaign events due to a severe injury suffered by his son. Becker says he will be caring for his son while he is temporarily away from the campaign trail.

"While Rick is away, he trusts our team to continue our campaign's mission with the same passion and dedication as always. He looks forward to returning to the campaign trail as soon as it is reasonable," said the Friday social media post on X. "We ask for your continued prayers and support during this time."
