(Bismarck, ND) -- It is Earth Day 2024 in North Dakota.
Governor Burgum officially proclaimed today a chance for North Dakotans to raise awareness about the state's natural resources and take personal action to preserve and conserve them for future generations.
The governor says a few ways to celebrate Earth Day are to recycle, carpool or take public transportation.
Residents are becoming increasingly more involved with the recycling program.
More than 27-hundred tons a month is recycled in North Dakota.
