(Stillwater, MN)  --  A Minnesota man who died at Pearl Harbor will soon be coming home for burial.

Navy Fire Controlman Third Class William F. Gusie died along with more than 400 crewmen on the USS Oklahoma on December 7th, 1941.

His remains had been declared unrecoverable in 1949.

But scientists began re-examining remains recovered from the Oklahoma in 2015 and were able to identify Gusie's in 2021.

The Stillwater native will be buried in Minneapolis on June 12th.
