Four ex-federal prosecutors added to new team handling Trooper Londregan case

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  The Hennepin County Attorney's Office is adding four new prosecutors to the case of a Minnesota State trooper accused of gunning down a motorist last summer in Minneapolis.

Officials mentioned yesterday say a team from the law firm Steptoe LLP will assist the prosecution against Trooper Ryan Londregan.

He is charged with shooting and killing Ricky Cobb the Second.

County Attorney Mary Moriarity will retain authority over the case, but the lead prosecutor Joshua Larson is stepping down.

The new legal team will appear in court on May 15 to go over scheduling, followed by a hearing on June 10 to continue arguments over probable cause.
