Witnesses in Feeding Our Future fraud trial testify about huge numbers of meals not served

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  The Feeding Our Future federal fraud trial continued today in Minneapolis.

Six witnesses, who were workers at state food distribution centers, testified yesterday that they did not see the thousands of meals that were claimed to have been handed out during the pandemic.

Prosecutors accuse the seven defendants on trial of not serving meals to low-income children but still drew millions of dollars in federal reimbursements.

They also face charges of wire fraud, money laundering and other crimes.

There is a total of 70 defendants linked to the alleged scandal.
