ND State Representative Jason Dockter sentenced to community service following deal with former AG

(Fargo, ND) -- A North Dakota state lawmaker convicted in connection to a lease agreement with a former attorney general will have to do community service for the homeless.

The sentence today for republican Jason Dockter, comes after the lawmaker made hundreds of thousands of dollars off the deal.

A Burleigh County judge sentenced Dockter to 250 hours of community service for a misdemeanor charge of speculating or wagering on an official action for personal gain.

Dockter also was ordered to pay nearly $3,000 in fines and court fees.
