(Stanley, ND) — A man is in custody on a murder charge following a deadly shooting in Stanley.
Investigators say Malcom Mayors drove to the Mountrail County Jail Friday morning and told staff that he thought he killed his friend.
Officers went to a home where Mayors said the crime occurred and found a man shot to death.
Mayors reportedly told investigators that he thought he fired a gun after taking psychedelic mushrooms with his friend, but said he couldn’t tell what was real and what wasn’t.
A judge set Mayors’ bond at one-million dollars.
