(Grand Forks, ND) – A six-year-old child involved in a crash near the Grand Forks International Airport on Monday has died.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol, on Thursday, said the child was taken by ambulance to Altru Hospital, before being airlifted to Fargo, where they died of their injuries on Wednesday.
43-year-old Travis Bell, of Fordville, was westbound on Highway 2. Nicole Louthain was in a 2016 Ford Focus and was sitting at a red light at the intersection. Bell, driving a 2023 Ram 3500, struck the Focus from behind.
Louthain was taken to Altru with serious injuries.
Bell was arrested on scene and charged with Criminal Vehicular Injury. Upgraded charges are now pending, the Patrol said.
The crash remains under investigation.
