(WINGER TOWNSHIP, MINN) – No one was injured in a garage fire in Winger, Minn.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Winger Fire Department Polk County EMS responded to a fire at a residence in Winger Township.
The fire was at a residence but was contained to an unattached garage on the property. The family was home at the time of the fire. The fire caused substantial damage to the garage and spread to a nearby tree but was put out.
The fire was believed to have originated from an electric meat smoker that was running overnight.
The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified.
