CARRINGTON, ND — The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a train derailment and fire near Carrington that sent a massive column of smoke and flames into the air on Friday.
29 train cars carrying anhydrous ammonia, methanol, and plastic pellets derailed in a rural area. No injuries were reported, and testing found no air contamination in the area.
