Second day set for NDGOP Convention

MINOT, N.D. – The second day of the North Dakota Republican Party state convention gets underway later this morning.

Today’s events include the Chairman’s Prayer Breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by a series of smaller events before the actual convention reconvenes at noon.

The resolutions will be resulted today, as will the endorsement for the U.S. House of Representatives race. Only challenger Alex Balazs is in attendance for this weekend’s convention.

Balazs is looking for his second straight endorsement of the North Dakota Republican Party for the race against Republican incumbent Julie Fedorchak.

The winner of June’s Republican primary election will face the North Dakota Democratic endorsee, Trygve Hammer, in the November general election.

The 2026 NDGOP Convention is taking place in Minot.
