FARGO, N.D. – Fargo Public Schools is inviting the public to two opportunities to tour the current Horace Mann Elementary School.
The tours are scheduled for April 11 from noon until 4 p.m., and May 13 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. These tours will allow an opportunity for the community to visit inside the historic building, opened in 1915, before it is demolished following the completion of this school year. The tours are all self-guided.
The Horace Mann Elementary School building is scheduled to be demolished following the conclusion of this school year to make way for a new elementary school on its grounds as part of Fargo Public Schools’ Long-Range Facility Plan. Once completed, this new school will bring together the current Horace Mann–Roosevelt and Madison Elementary School attendance areas into a single, unified school community. The existing Roosevelt and Madison school buildings will be closed for their current purpose once the new facility is ready to open in Fall 2028.
