FARGO, N.D. – After more than two weeks in a Bismarck hospital, Republican State Representative Jim Kasper is back in Fargo.
The 79-year-old suffered a brain bleed while in the capital city for the legislative session April 30. The District 46 Republican Party says on Friday Kasper began recovering at the PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Fargo.
“Jim is ready to work hard to get better. He is getting stronger day-by-day. He has a long way to go, but we are starting to see signs of the old Jim! I want to thank everyone for their continued calls, texts, visits and prayers. The continued support means the world to us,” Kasper’s wife, Sandy Kasper, said in a statement.
Kasper’s family expects him to return home once his rehabilitation is finished. The Republican has served in the legislature since 2001.
