FRAZEE, MINN. – Two people are awaiting formal charges after a 19-year-old Frazee man was shot and killed in the early morning hours of Saturday.
On Sunday, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office released the name of one of the two suspects. He’s identified as 21-year-old Arthur Deshun Campbell of New York Mills. The second suspect is a 16-year-old male and is not being identified. He’s being held in juvenile detention.
The pair are awaiting formal charges in connection with a disturbance that turned deadly early Saturday.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 700 block of West Ash Avenue where a 9-1-1 call was reporting a disturbance. While deputies were en route, there was a report of shots fired with one victim believed to have been struck by the gunfire. Four suspects reportedly fled the scene in a black SUV.
Authorities arrived to find the victim, 19-year-old Bryson May of Frazee. Life-saving measures were performed at the scene before May was transported to Essentia-St. Mary’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
