UPDATE (September 26 12:30 PM) – The State Patrol has identified two people involved in a deadly crash in Wilkin County on Thursday.
Forty-year-old Nicolas Terfehr of Wahpeton, who was driving a semi, died at the scene. Authorities say it’s unknown if he was wearing a seat belt and he had not been drinking.
The driver of the road grader, 44-year-old Darin Differding of Hankinson was taken to a Breckenridge hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Troopers say it’s unknown if he was under the influence of alcohol.
WILKIN COUNTY, Minn. – A person has died after a semi and road grader collided around six miles south of Kent, Minnesota.
The State Patrol says it happened around 4:30 PM Thursday, September 25 on County Road 3.
The vehicles collided and the impact sent both them into the ditch. The road grader turned onto its roof, and the semi remained on its wheels.
