Water restored in Finley, N.D., awaiting test results to see if it’s safe to use

UPDATE 4/23 – The City of Finley, North Dakota has announced water pressure has been restored, but a do not use advisory continues as it’s waiting on test results from the state.

The city says they could come back on Thursday, April 23 or Friday, April 24.

You’re asked to flush your toilets and run water through faucets or spigots to clear the lines. You may see dirty water and pressure may be lower in different parts of your home.

FINLEY, N.D. – The City of Finley continues to be without water after a loss of potable water Friday.

“What little water is available has been deemed unusable for drinking and most other uses until further notice by the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality and the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services,” Traill-Steele Emergency Management Public Information Officers said late Saturday.

Further information about the leak and an estimated timeline on the repair and restoration of water service to the city is not yet known.
