(WEST FARGO) – The City of West Fargo has hired a new Finance Director.
Willy Galindo comes to the City of West Fargo from Palmdale, Cali., where he served as a Senior Financial Analyst with the City of Palmdale since 2017. For ten years prior to working with the City of Palmdale, Galindo worked for Princess Cruise Lines in various finance and accounting roles.
While working for the City of Palmdale, which has a population of more than 165,000, Galindo was directly involved with the preparation and management of the city’s $512 million budget. Additionally, he worked on financial reporting, audits, deb serve and the implementation of a new financial software.
“I am honored to be joining the City of West Fargo and am excited to be taking on the leadership role of Finance Director.” said Galindo. “I was drawn to the growth of the area and hope to use my years of experience in city government finance as the City continues to grow into the future.”
He will begin as Finance Director in late September.
