West Fargo to hold public info session on Growth Area Master Plan

West Fargo, N.D. – The public will get a chance this month to ask questions and obtain more information about how the north side of West Fargo is going to be redeveloped.

The city is hosting an upcoming open house at City Hall about the Growth Area Master Plan.

The two-hour event will feature presentations and chances for attendees to review project maps, along with giving city staffers and consultants some input about their plans.

The plan was created to anticipate a jump in population once the FM Area Diversion Project is completed in 2027.

That project is intended to head off severe flooding for the entire region.

“We look forward to hearing from residents about their vision for the future of West Fargo and to get their feedback as we create this strategic plan for our City’s growth,” wrote Director of Planning and Zoning Aaron Nelson in announcing the event.

The open house is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21 from 5 – 7 p.m..

People can also sign up for updates at this link.  The city is also expecting to release an online survey at that same link in the coming weeks.
