(Fargo, ND) -- It's been 64-years since a deadly EF-5 tornado touched down in the Fargo-Moorehead area. It hit the ground on June 20th, 1957. North Dakota State University Climatologist Adnan Akyuz says the tornado was ten-miles long and 600-yards-wide. It was the first tornado to receive the F-5 level on the Fujita tornado scale. A total of ten-people died, more than 100-people were injured and 25-million dollars in damages was caused.
