Suspect In New Zealand Terror Attack Killed By Police

(Auckland, New Zealand) -- A suspected terrorist is dead in New Zealand following a stabbing attack.

It happened earlier Friday at a supermarket in Auckland. Six were wounded before police opened fire, killing the suspect.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the Sri Lankan national was inspired by ISIS and well known to New Zealand authorities. So well known in fact that he had been under round-the-clock surveillance and was able to be taken down within 60 seconds of the first stabbing.
