(West Fargo, ND) -- West Fargo schools are introducing a new approach to deal with substitute teacher shortages.
The District has created a system to determine how low staff is on any day and what the substitute availability is. If an employee within the district has a substitute teaching license, then they may be tapped to teach a class.
West Fargo Public Schools officials say even the district's assistant superintendent and Business Manager have filled in as substitutes.
Officials say 90-percent of the district's absences aren't COVID related.
