(Fargo, ND) -- A charity softball game for a good cause happens Saturday afternoon in Fargo.

"Basically what we are doing is partnering with law enforcement. We are a bunch of individuals in recovery and we are raising some money for a bunch of kids," said Pastor David Vernoy.

Vernoy is the founder of Redemption Road. Members of the group, who are alcoholics and addicts in recovery. will complete against local law enforcement officers in the "Cops  & Cons" game. The game takes place at 3:00 at Young Field. The event will raise funds for the local non-profit K9 Crew, which provides dog training opportunities and personal development for at risk children and teens.

Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner is among local law enforcement officers expected to play in the game.
