(Fargo, ND) -- Support for labor unions in the U.S. is the highest in 57 years.

The latest Gallup Poll, out Tuesday, shows 71-percent of Americans support labor unions. That's up from 68-percent last year and it's the highest since 1965.

Twenty-percent of front-line and production workers belong to unions, followed by healthcare and social assistance professionals at 13-percent, white collar workers at 11-percent, and administrative and clerical staff, ten-percent.

Union membership is highest in long-unionized industries.
