Fargo, West Fargo and Cass County Leaders to Sign Spring Flood Emergency Declarations Today at 4 p.m.

Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney, West Fargo Commission President Bernie Dardis and Cass County Commission Chairman Chad Peterson will sign spring flood emergency declarations today at 4 p.m. in the Commission Chambers within Fargo City Hall (225 Fourth Street North).  Each leader will also provide comments prior to signing the documents with interview availabilities offered at the conclusion of the event.

The emergency declarations provide departments and agencies the ability to initiate appropriate actions to manage and recover from the potential impacts of spring flooding. Issuing an emergency declaration allows local governments to manage resources and funding under conditions that are not normally budgeted or anticipated. It is also the first step in preparing to request resources for county, state and federal agencies that may be necessary.

The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed live on the City of Fargo’s public access channels and across its social media platforms.

Quorums of the various governing bodies may be present.
