Our June Luther Family Ford Salute to Law Enforcement honoree is Parole Officer Sherrie Prochnow & North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Parole Officer Sherrie Prochnow has worked as a Parole & Probation Officer for the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation since 1997 as a Sex Offender Specialist for the Fargo District. Sherrie specializes in supervising clients who have been convicted of sexual offenses or has a past conviction for an offense that is sexual in nature.

Sherrie has supervised many high-risk sex offenders in our community over the years and has always put our community’s safety first when supervising these high-risk clients. Sherrie has not only held her clients accountable but is always looking to help them succeed in our community as they transition off supervision.

Sherrie has been a member of the North Dakota Sex Offender Risk Assessment Committee (SORAC) since it’s inception by the ND Attorney General’s office and helps provide the committee with important information regarding sex offenders from our region. Sherrie is also one of the department’s district firearms instructors as well as a firearms armorer that helps train and qualify staff with their firearms throughout the year. Parole Officer Prochnow is married and has one son.
