9-26-19 What's On Your Mind Hour 2

Scott Hennen Live from D.C.!

Hour 2 guests:

Diamond and Silk - These two media sensations need no introduction.  Lynette Hardaway (Diamond) and Rochelle Richardson (Silk) are social media sensations who, in an age of extreme political correctness, are noted for speaking the truth – and doing it entertainingly. Their articulation of the truth on many matters, including immigration, was deemed sufficiently subversive that they were banned from Facebook, who said their social media postings were "unsafe to the community,” and were informed that the decision was “final and it is not appeal-able in any way.” After Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was grilled by members of Congress and accused of censorship, Facebook restored Diamond & Silk’s page. Diamond and Silk have been particularly vocal on immigration issues, noting the hypocrisy of those on the far left who demand open borders while supporting enormous social spending on benefits for illegal immigrants, all while ignoring the dire situation of many American children, particularly African Americans.

Marlo Compton - Marlo is Peggy Davis’ daughter (Guest from Hour 1).

Michelle Root - Michelle Root’s daughter, Sarah Rae Ann Root, was killed January 31, 2016 by Edwin Mejia, an illegal alien who was driving with a blood alcohol level of .241 (several times the legal limit) and street racing at more than 70 miles per hour. Sarah had just graduated from college the day before with a 4.0 GPA. While stopped at a red light, her car was slammed at high speed by Mejia, who came to this country illegally and unaccompanied at the age of 16.  He had several prior run-ins with the law, including failure to appear before a judge, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, driving without a license, child endangerment and no proof of insurance. His bond was set at $50,000 and he posted $5,000 a few weeks after killing Sarah and hasn't been seen since. Sarah was a 21-year-old with her whole life ahead of her, she was full of life and was so excited to start the next chapter in her life. She is loved and missed dearly by her friends and family.

Dan Stein - One of the nation’s most preeminent and recognized advocates for smart and effective immigration laws, there isn’t much Dan Stein hasn’t see during his nearly 40 years at FAIR.  Stein, president of FAIR, has been through every policy debate and witnessed the repeated failures of legislators and presidents to secure our borders and ensure an immigration system that protects the interests and security of the American people. Dan is one of the nation’s best sources for information on effective immigration policy, appearing regularly on CNN, FOX, CBS, and other major media outlets.  He has testified before Congress on numerous occasions related to all aspects of immigration policy and has published numerous articles and opinion pieces in leading news journals. Dan also is a founding director of the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), the preeminent public interest legal organization on immigration policy.
