Joining Scott Hennen and Todd Mitchell in hour one of Energy Matters is:

  • Robert Bradley, CEO of the Institute for Energy Research, who joins the show to talk about the issue of approving US pipelines to counter global threats. More specifically, Robert will talk to the impact of the attacks on Saudi Arabian oil facilities and how that impacts an oil state such as North Dakota.
  • Jadyn Guidinger, a high school junior, who participates in NextGen North Dakota
  • Kathleen Sgamma, President of Western Energy Alliance, who talks about energy development on federal lands, where it is at now and where it is headed in the future
  • Retha Mattern, Director of the Great Plains Energy Corridor, tells us about the upcoming Great Plains & EmPower ND Energy Conference at Bismarck State College on October 8th. This is the conference’s 13th year and will feature a roundtable discussion on all-of-the-above energy policy in North Dakota with Senators Hoeven and Cramer, and Gov. Doug Burgum.The keynote speaker for the conference will be EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler. Other topics covered include cybersecurity, future stability of the electricity grid, and meeting workforce needs in the industry in North Dakota
