In today's first hour of Energy Matters, Spencer Almen, business development manager with Enel Green Power, joins Energy Matters to discuss the Aurora Wind Project. Enel Green Power North America has started construction of the 299 MW Aurora wind farm in North Dakota. Expected to be fully operational by the end of 2020, the construction of the facility will involve an investment of around $450 million. Aurora, located in Williams and Mountrail counties, is Enel Green Power’s second project in the state. 

Kate Muggerud also joins the show. Kate is the host of the Lignite Energy Council podcast "Mined: Lignite Energy in America". She is a public relations consultant for KAT Marketing in Bismarck. SHe talks about what interested her in starting a lignite podcast, what she knew about the industry before starting it, what listeners will learn and how the listeners can find the podcast. 

Midwest AgEnergy CEO Jeff Zueger joins the show to give an update on the Environmental Protection Agency's small refinery waiver and its impact on the ethanol industry.

Greg Anderson, senior market planning specialist with Otter Tail Power Company, joins Energy Matters to talk about the Blue Jay Solar Project in Jamestown, and how it will impact the energy industry in and around the Jamestown community.
