The Cobbers trailed 7-0 early but from then on it was the Emily Beseman show for the Concordia Women's basketball team, as the freshman from Swanville, MN scored a career high 27 points and hit 9 of 11 3 pointers to lead the Cobbers to 64-61 victory of Carleton.
The 9 3 pointers for Beseman is a school record for Concordia. Concordia shot 46 % from 3 point range and 87% from the Free throw stripe to help earn the win. The Cobbers turned the ball over 15 times compared to the Knights 9 but balanced scoring helped the Concordia as Fargo North graduate Mary Sem had 11 and Bailee Larson had 11.
Concordia improves to 4-5 and 2-2 in the MIAC.
