On Tuesday, May 5 the Moorhead Spud Football team released its 2026 schedule.
The Spuds will have four home games and four road games over the eight game regular season. The season opener will be on Thursday, September 3 at Rogers. The home opener is the following week on Friday, September 11 vs Woodbury. The regular season will conclude on Friday, October 23 with a Prep Bowl rematch against Edina in Moorhead.

- Friday, September 11 vs Woodbury (Home opener / Youth Night + Military Appreciation Night)
- Friday, September 18 vs Minnetonka (Tackle Cancer Night)
- Friday, September 25 at Wayzata
- Friday, October 2 at Maple Grove
- Friday, October 9 vs Eden Prairie
- Wednesday, October 14 at St. Michael-Albertville
- Friday, October 23 vs Edina (Senior Night)
All regular season football games are currently scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
This will be the second season Moorhead High is playing in 6A, the MSHSL’s highest class in the state’s seven class system. The Moorhead Spuds will be broadcasted each week on WDAY Radio (AM 970/FM 93.1).
