Bison lose another football non-conference game to COVID-19

For the second time in the last week, the NDSU Bison football team lost another non-conference football game due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously it was announced that the NDSU-Oregon game, the season opener for the Bison on September 5, was canceled due to COVID-19.

Now, NDSU’s second home game, a September 19 game against North Carolina A & T has been canceled. NDSU Athletic Communications Ryan Perreault confirmed Thursday afternoon to WZFG Radio.

“The MEAC announced the cancellation of fall sports for their member schools this morning,” Perreault said in a statement to WZFG Radio. North Carolina A & T is a member of the MEAC.

As the schedule currently stands, NDSU is now set to open the season, at home, on September 12 against Drake, in the Bison’s lone currently scheduled non-conference game.

Perreault says NDSU will try to fill the dates to play a full season, if possible.
