     His other accomplishments include:

  • National Coach of the Year (2015)
  • Central Region Coach of the Year (2015)
  • Six NCAA Tournament appearances (2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2021, and 2022)

"Coach Walthall put Dragons Basketball on the map in NCAA Division II. We're so thankful for his dedication to transforming our men's basketball program," said MSUM Interim Athletics Director Chad Markuson.

MSUM will now begin a national search to find the next men’s basketball head coach.
