An old friend is making his return to Concordia College. Jason Gregoire has been named the new head coach for the women’s hockey team, Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson announced.

Gregoire returns to Concordia where he previously served as the women’s hockey head coach from 2015-18. He is taking the place of Maureen Greiner who stepped down in February.

Gregoire voiced his excitement to be returning to Concordia saying, "I'm excited to get the opportunity to come back to a place that has meant so much to me both as a player and a coach." He continued, "My time at Concordia coaching the student-athletes was so rewarding, and to get the opportunity to work with them again is something that I am really excited about.”

In his first stint at Concordia, Gregoire led the Cobbers to the playoffs in all four seasons winning at least nine conference games each year. He finished with a 47-46-12 overall record.

He left Concordia after the 2018 season to become the West Fargo youth hockey program Director. In 2022 he moved to Moorhead for the role of Moorhead Youth Hockey Association Director. As the Hockey Director Gregoire managed all programming, scheduling, communications, player placement, player development, coach development, and committee oversight.

Along with his full-time head coaching duties at Concordia, he will continue to help the Moorhead Youth Hockey Association in a revised role.
