On Tuesday University of North Dakota head hockey coach Brad Berry announced the addition of defenseman Garrett Pyke. He will join the Fighting Hawks for the 2023-24 season with one year of collegiate eligibility remaining.
Berry gave his thoughts on the addition of Pyke saying, “We are excited to have Garrett join our hockey program at North Dakota.” He continued, “Garrett is an outstanding and experienced defenseman that played a key role on his former team during his four-year college career. We look forward to his tremendous impact within our team in the upcoming season.”
In three seasons at Alaska he appeared in 81 games tallying 41 points on eight goals and 33 assists. Pyke has played in 68 straight games and holds a plus-16 rating in his collegiate career.
